Bonnie Jean Muffo, age 96, born on August 11, 1927 in Quincy, IL, passed away on April 11, 2024 at Blackshear Villa, Cordele, GA.
She was the daughter of Clarence V. Berblinger and Ruby Dilts. She lived her life faithfully, following her husband, John wherever the Pennsylvania Railroad sent him and the family. She would say, "John would call me on a Friday and say, ‘Call the movers, we're moving Monday.”’ The railroad tracks in Cordele may be aggravating to some, but to her, she saw her pension. Their retirement years were spent in Sebring, Florida where she was a proud choir member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for over 35 years. Bonnie had a long career as a hospital dietary supervisor in Ohio, Indiana, and Florida. She made life-long friends wherever she lived and worked. She was a loving, generous woman. If someone complimented her on something she was wearing, she would take it off and hand it to them without a thought.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John.
Bonnie is survived by her two children, John A. (Sue) Muffo, and Rosemarie (Marvin Powell) Muffo; six grandchildren, Michael Muffo, Christopher (Rebecca) Muffo, Patrick (Jelena) Muffo, Jeremy (Jodi) Irish, Nathan (Jenny) Irish, and Juliana (Mathew) Irish; and ten great grandchildren, Stella Muffo, Aleksandar Muffo, Natalie Muffo, Colin Irish, Madeline Irish, Max Irish, Eliana Irish, Felix Irish, Isaiah Reihing and Olivia Reihing.
The family wishes to thank Father Paulinus, Crisp Regional Hospice, and Blackshear Villa's director and staff for their selfless, gentle, and loving care during Bonnie’s time of need.
